My notes: It’s not always easy to praise God or to be thankful to God when everything around you is falling apart. But I will promise you that if you reflect on all the things that God has done for you and start giving him praise and being thankful to Him, it will change your heart it will change your mind it will change your attitude and you will have a better day. There is power in Praise there is power in being thankful. I know this from personal experience because whenever I’m having a really bad day I start thanking God and suddenly I start feeling differently. Why is it that when you start thanking God and praising him you can’t be depressed or upset ? It’s because in the literal presence of God there is peace that passes all human comprehension. In His presence is the fullness of Joy.
I believe the words of this song:;
He lives Within the praises Of His people and loves to hear them call upon His Name. So set your mind on Him and let the Praise Begin. And the Glory Of The Lord will fill this place.
For it is written:
Psalm 22:3 KJV
But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
That is why there is so much power in Praise of God… Because it invites the Presence of God into the situation. I will go as far as to say that Praise and Thanksgiving are two very powerful weapons against the enemy of our souls. When we Praise God demons run.
Praising God literally releases His power in your circumstance. Also cultivating an attitude of Gratitude will keep your light burning brightly. It will allow you to endure your circumstances. it is written.
Nehemiah 8:10
Then Ezra said to them, “Go [your way], eat the rich festival food, drink the sweet drink, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be worried, for the joy of the Lord is your strength and your stronghold.” – Nehemiah 8:10
